The recent decision by Scotland's Justice Ministry to release the Lockerbie bomber at first brought great anger to me. And I have no direct connection to the families, no loss of any loved ones.  I was convinced that no such sympathy should be applied to the one of many who helped plan and facilitate the murder of so many innocent people. The rumors of an oil deal are heartbreaking, to say the least.  My hope was and still is that Libya will form a greater cooperation of intelligence sharing with the British, United States, and their western allies.  Assuming that is the real reason to show such sympathy for this convicted individual, then we must all now focus on the fact that those who died in the Lockerbie bombing should be considered heroes to their respective countries for the sacrifices they have made in an effort to further end terrorism and war throughout the world.  Let us all now recognize that Scotland's act of compassion for a dying man is not against those who have passed but rather for the future of those who are living, to be safe and unharmed.  The families of those who died should be fully compensated and recognized, along with their lost loved ones, for the heroes they are for patiently sacrificing all these years.
